Where on earth did the Page tab come from? Why does it go to something called Loop paragraph? What is Loop and what is a Loop paragraph? If it makes no sense to me I can assure you it will make no sense to anyone else in my Org.
Why add things no one asked for or needed without explaining the new option/upgrade?

Also!! What happened in the Shared tab? I use to be able to navigate back to SharePoint document Library – where all the channel document folders live. That option is now gone, and I have no logical way back to all files other than click my way through to SharePoint in a new window and then navigation to all files/documents. Yes! I can make a new Tab, but why did this change? What did it "fix"? What was broken? Who at MS does not understand UX and always make things harder and always insist on fixing problems that never existed?

It is frustrating!!! Do you understand how much time we use on teaching/helping our users when tings like this happen for no good reason. I feel obliged to send Microsoft an invoice for "stealing" my time like that.

It seems that Microsoft did an update in the Teams environment around July 6. What this was supposed to fix is a mystery. Why can’t you go directly to the documents in the ‘main folder’ via Teams general anymore, and now you have to go through ‘open in SharePoint’ instead? I’ve reported this to Microsoft because I also can’t find any documentation about this change anywhere.

    it was like this:

    User's image

    Now is it this:

    User's image

We missing these option User's image

    Hello @Anonymous
The option to navigate to Documents from the individual channels has also disappeared for us and I unable to find any documentation from Microsoft on this change.

Another way to navigate could be using the OneDrive from the Teams menu. It used to be called Files, which makes more sense from UX point as you can access both your OneDrive and your Teams, even there KB has the title Explore the files list in microsoft teams.

The OneDrive from teams also have other nice options, favorites, shared, recycle bin etc. Just pin your team and then you can easily navigate

    Hi @Mark

First, I'd like to apologize for the frustration and inconvenience this change has caused.

To be honest, this is a user-to-user support forum, and moderators like us do not have direct visibility into Microsoft's product design decisions or access to tenant-specific engineering information.

To better understand what you're seeing, could you help clarify a few points?

    • When did you first notice the change in the Shared tab experience?
    • Are you a Teams owner/admin or a regular team member?
    • Has Teams been updated recently on your device?
    • Do other users in the same team see the same behavior, or is it only affecting you?
    • Is this happening in all channels, or only specific channels?
    • If you're a regular user, have you checked with your Microsoft 365 or Teams administrator to see whether any recent changes or updates were communicated to your organization?

Regarding the new Page tab and Loop functionality, those are part of Microsoft's ongoing Teams and Loop integration. Microsoft introduced Pages in Teams channels and has been rolling the feature out broadly over time, please refer this article: https://support.microsoft.com/en-US/teams/teams-channels/manage-pages-and-loop-components-in-channels

What is less clear from the available documentation is the navigation change you described in the Shared tab. I have not been able to find any Microsoft documentation that describes a setting designed to intentionally remove or restrict navigation back to the underlying SharePoint document library. Based on your description, I believe the Shared tab in your channel now looks something like this:

    User's image

And you were expecting it to look more like this instead:

    User's image

Interestingly, one of my teammates noticed a similar behavior where the navigation option disappeared, but then reappeared a few hours later without any obvious change. Because of that, I would also suggest a few basic checks:

    • Sign out of Teams and sign back in.
    • Test in Teams on the web.
    • Test using a different browser.
    • Compare the experience with another user, if possible.

I look forward to hearing what you find.
