Hello Microsoft Support Team,
I'm facing an issue with the Azure Machine Learning Studio Notebook Editor.
Whenever I try to open any .ipynb notebook from Authoring → Notebooks, the browser becomes unresponsive and eventually shows "This page isn't responding." The notebook never opens.
What's confusing is that the issue occurs even with a brand-new blank notebook that I create myself. However, the same notebooks open and run successfully in JupyterLab and VS Code, and I can also use the Terminal without any issues.
To rule out environmental problems, I have already tried the following:
- Created a completely new Azure account and subscription
- Created new Azure ML workspaces
- Created multiple new Compute Instances
- Created brand-new blank notebooks
- Tested with Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome
- Tested in Incognito/InPrivate mode
- Cleared browser cache, cookies, local storage, session storage, and IndexedDB
- Tested notebooks both inside and outside Git repositories
The behavior remains exactly the same in every case.
Because the issue occurs with newly created blank notebooks across multiple Azure subscriptions and workspaces, it does not appear to be related to notebook content, Git repositories, compute instances, or browser cache.
Could you please help investigate whether this is a known issue with the Azure ML Studio Notebook Editor (AzNB) or advise on any additional diagnostics I can collect?
