Adding an Introduction to a mostly finished and edited Clipchamp Project

I saw from a previous and locked thread (https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/answers/questions/5282910/clipchamp-how-to-insert-a-clip-or-black-screen-so) that it is recommended to ctrl A your whole edited project if you want to add something to the beginning. This does not work and makes you do each time sync over again. I do not see that this has ever been addressed with this software.

Why this happens:

In Clipchamp, once a project is mostly finished, adding an intro at the beginning can be confusing because the timeline is already filled and clips are not automatically shifted.

Solution:

You need to manually insert space at the beginning of the timeline or move all clips forward before adding your intro.

Steps to fix:

Open your project in Clipchamp
Press Ctrl + A to select all clips on the timeline
Drag all selected clips slightly to the right to create empty space at the beginning
Import or create your intro clip
Drag the intro clip to the start of the timeline

Alternative method:

Right-click on the timeline (if available) and look for an option like “Insert space”
Then place your intro clip in that space

Extra tip:

Zoom in on the timeline for better control when moving multiple clips, so you don’t accidentally misalign them.
