Xbox Privacy Changed Without Notice, Or Just Broken?

Around the time Spencer removed Xbox (Social/User) Clubs my comments icons went grey with no way of commenting on any posts/activity, including my own. My 'others can communicate' setting has always been set to 'Friends', for years, due to incessant PMs from weirdos in multiplayer. After a couple of months without being able to comment on anything, whilst anyone could still comment on my activity, I've noticed I can fix comments (to allow me to click the icon and add a comment) by opening my 'others can communicate' privacy up to 'Everyone'!This is the new privacy system, is it, and not a bug? Why should I need to open my PMs/chat to everyone just to add comments on activity posts, including my own (while everyone can already comment on my posts, even when that setting is set to 'Friends'). I noticed GTAO suddenly stopped me inviting lobby player to 'jobs' too ('Blocked' message), before that, for no reason (you shouldn't need any PMs on to play with randoms online) - I remember you could still invite players whilst still having privacy on the 360, at least.

Broken and illogical privacy system, not fit for purpose - even for adults, let alone children.

...Spencer deleted Xbox help forums and only left us with a totally useless AI bot, so here we are.

first verify that your account has no active communication suspensions or restrictions by checking your enforcement history on the official Xbox enforcement website. If your account is in good standing, try performing a full power cycle of your console by holding the power button for 10 seconds to clear any stuck cache, and then manually re-adjust your privacy settings to "Friends" again to see if the interface refreshes correctly. Since this behavior seems to persist despite your settings, it is likely a platform-level design flaw regarding how comment permissions are bundled with messaging; therefore, your most effective recourse is to report this as a bug directly through the "Report a problem" feature on your Xbox console or the Xbox Support Twitter/X account, as this provides diagnostic data to the engineering team that community forums cannot capture.
