Microsoft Teams not syncing with Teams App/Outlook

I went from a personal account to a business account under the same email address. When I'm on the browser version of Outlook, I can see and schedule my Teams meetings. On the Outlook App, I can't see the Teams meeting on the calendar. I'm also unable to view the calendar in Teams, both the app and browser versions. I'm on a Mac using the most up-to-date OS. Any suggestions to correct this?

    Hi @Trey Pierce

Based on your description, this may be related to the account transition from a personal Microsoft account to a Microsoft 365 business account using the same email address.

To help narrow this down, please check the following:

    1. When signing in, are you choosing the Work or school account option, not the personal Microsoft account option?
    2. In Outlook for Mac, is the account added as a Microsoft 365 or Exchange account, not IMAP?
    3. Does your business license include both Exchange Online and Microsoft Teams?
    4. In Teams web, is the Calendar app missing completely, or does it open but not show your meetings?

In the meantime, please try these steps for troubleshooting:

    1. Sign out of Teams, Outlook for Mac, and Outlook on the web completely.
    2. Restart the Mac.
    3. Sign back in to Teams first using the work account.
    4. Then open Outlook for Mac and confirm the same business account is being used.
    5. In Outlook for Mac, go to Tools > Accounts, select the account, and confirm it is listed with the correct work account address.

    1. Test again by creating a new Teams meeting from Outlook on the web, then check whether it appears in Teams Calendar and Outlook for Mac.

If the Calendar is also missing in Teams web, this is less likely to be only a Mac app issue. In that case, your IT admin may need to verify that your account has an Exchange Online mailbox, a Teams license, and that the Teams Calendar app is allowed by policy. Calendar syncing depends on the business email and calendar being properly connected to Teams.

    •  Also, please note that data from a personal Teams account is not automatically migrated into a new Teams for work account. If some meetings were created under the old personal account, they may need to be recreated from the new business account.

If it still does not appear in Teams web, I would recommend contacting your Microsoft 365 admin or Microsoft 365 business support so they can review the license, mailbox, and Teams calendar policy configuration from the admin side.

I hope this helps. Should you have any further questions, please feel free to reach out.
