Using Microsoft Teams on macOS, including installation, features, and compatibility
Hi @Malcolm Kenward,
For your concern, may I confirm that when you mentioned "my MAC OS contacts", do you refer to built-in Apple Contacts app in MacOS? If that's the case, unfortunately, Teams desktop app mainly uses People app and Teams/organization directory contact, and Teams for Mac does not directly support MacOS Contacts as its contact source.
If your goal is to import Apple Contacts into Teams, I suggest you should try importing them into Outlook first since Outlook does support bulk import through CSV file while Teams/Teams People doesn't. After that, you can check whether the contacts appear in Teams search/People for that same mailbox:
- Go to Contacts app on your Mac > Select the contacts you want to export
- Go to the Numbers app > open a new spreadsheet > drag the selected contacts into the Numbers spreadsheet
- Choose File > Export to > CSV file
- After that, go to Outlook > People > Import > drag the CSV file there
Please understand that my initial response does not always resolve the issue immediately. However, you can try these steps and let me know if it works. If not, please let me know and we can work together to find the best possible way for your case.
If you have any questions or need further assistance, please feel free to share them in the comments on this post so I can continue to support you.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. I'm looking forward to your reply.
