Recovery of old videos from flipgrid

I’m very sorry to say that Flipgrid, which was later renamed Flip, was officially retired on September 30, 2024. After that point, the platform was fully shut down and all data, including user videos, was permanently removed. Unfortunately, that means the content can no longer be recovered from the service itself.

Before it was retired, there was a period between July 1 and September 30, 2024, when users could still access their accounts in a view-only mode and download their videos. If that opportunity was missed, there isn’t a way to retrieve the original files anymore.

That said, it might still be worth checking with your school or the teacher who used Flipgrid in your class. Sometimes they may have saved or exported videos ahead of time, so there’s a chance copies could still exist outside the platform.

I really wish I had better news for you, but I hope at least this gives you some clear confirmation, so you don’t have to spend more time searching.
