Setting up future meetings or classes using Teams calendar tools
Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum.
I understand that you would like to restore the Teams meeting details that were removed from an existing meeting, and you’re concerned this may confuse participants. I’m happy to help look into this with you.
To better understand the situation and provide the most suitable guidance, could you please help clarify a few details?
- Was the meeting originally created as a Teams meeting in Outlook, or was it created in Teams (or converted later)?
- Are the details you removed the full Teams join information (e.g., meeting link, meeting ID, dial-in info), similar to what is typically shown in the meeting body? Like the image below
- When you open the meeting, do you still see a “Join Teams Meeting” button or link anywhere?
- Does the same behavior occur if you open/edit the meeting in Outlook on the web (OWA) or in the Teams calendar?
- When you double-click the meeting in classic Outlook, does the edit window look standard (with the Teams option showing as “Join Teams Meeting” but without full details)?
While we investigate further, you may try editing the meeting from alternative entry points, as they sometimes allow the Teams details to be re-applied:
- Open and edit the meeting from the Teams calendar
- Or access it via Outlook on the web (OWA) and check if the Teams information can be restored there
If I’ve misunderstood any part of your scenario, please feel free to clarify. I’ll be glad to adjust and assist further.
Thank you again for your time and patience. I look forward to your reply!
