I am having difficulty in MS Teams, I need to be able to find

I am trying to access the SharePoint site for a Microsoft Teams channel (Course Materials) in order to configure permissions and enable block download for files. According to Microsoft documentation, there should be an “Open in SharePoint” button in the Files tab of the channel, which allows me to open the connected SharePoint document library and copy its URL.

However, in my Teams interface, the “Open in SharePoint” button is not visible. The only options available are “Share,” “Share join link,” and a menu with “Download,” “Rename,” “Delete,” and “Move.” I have checked the Files tab thoroughly and explored all menus, but cannot locate the “Open in SharePoint” option. This prevents me from proceeding with the required SharePoint configuration.

Request: Please advise how I can access the SharePoint site for this channel, or restore the “Open in SharePoint” button in Teams.

Additionally, you can configure permissions for files directly within the Teams channel. Please follow the steps below:

Step 1: Click on any file in the Teams channel

Step 2: Click on the “…” > select Share

Please click here to access the SharePoint site of the Teams channel.

After accessing the SharePoint site, you can configure permissions and enable the option to prevent file downloads.

If you do not see the settings as shown above, please follow the steps below:

Try accessing Teams through the web version and check whether the option is available.
Try clearing the Teams cache:

Step 1: Completely exit the Teams application.

Step 2: Press Windows + R, then enter the following path:

%userprofile%\appdata\local\Packages\MSTeams_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\Microsoft\MSTeams

Step 3: Delete all files in this folder.

Step 4: Restart the Teams application.
