A family of Microsoft relational database management systems designed for ease of use.
Hello @Neriah Ritah
Based on your description, I understand that your file may be stored on a USB drive.
If that’s the case, you may want to refer to the AI response first, especially the suggestion to copy the file to a local drive (for example, Desktop) and then open it from there. In addition, please ensure the folder where your file is located is set as a Trusted Location (File > Options > Trust Center > Trust Center Settings > Trusted Locations).
It could also be related to the USB device or your system. To help narrow this down, you can try testing the flash drive on another computer, using a different USB port, or checking whether the drive appears correctly in Disk Management.
If Microsoft Access itself is not opening at all, please try safely removing the USB drive first and then reopen Access. You can also launch Access in Safe Mode (press Windows + R, type msaccess /safe, then press Enter) to check whether it opens normally.
As this is a community forum, moderators here are not Microsoft Support. We do not have backend access and cannot directly intervene in Microsoft services or products. Our visibility into your environment is limited, and we can only provide technical guidance and best‑practice recommendations based on the information you share. If possible, please share more details such as any error messages, what you are seeing on screen, or screenshots. This will help me better understand the issue and provide more targeted guidance.
Looking forward to your reply.
