How to turn microphone and camera back on for Teams app in Chrome Browser on a Mac

Use two sets of permissions: macOS app permissions and Chrome site permissions.

1. Check macOS camera and microphone permissions
   1. Open System Settings (or System Preferences) on the Mac.
   2. Go to Security & Privacy.
   3. Select the Privacy tab.
   4. Select Camera and make sure the browser being used for Teams (for example, Google Chrome) is checked.
   5. Select Microphone and make sure Google Chrome is checked there as well.
   6. Close all apps and restart the device.
2. Re‑enable camera and mic for Teams in Chrome
   1. In Google Chrome, select Settings.
   2. Go to Privacy and security > Site settings > Permissions.
   3. Select Camera.
      • At the top, choose the correct camera from the dropdown.
      • Under Default behavior, select Sites can ask to use your camera.
      • In the list of sites, find the Teams site (for example, teams.microsoft.com) and set it to Allow.
   4. Go back and select Microphone.
      • At the top, choose the correct microphone from the dropdown.
      • Under Default behavior, select Sites can ask to use your microphone.
      • In the list of sites, find the Teams site and set it to Allow.
   5. Close Chrome completely and reopen it, then rejoin the Teams meeting. When prompted, choose Allow for camera and microphone.

If the toggles in Teams still appear disabled, refresh the Teams tab after changing Chrome permissions.
