am currently experiencing an issue with Microsoft Copilot features in PowerPoint.

The button “Translate with Copilot”, which was previously visible in my ribbon, has disappeared. In addition, the Copilot button that was displayed on the top-left / within the slide area is also no longer visible.

Could you please help me understand:

if this is related to a license, configuration, or update issue,

and how I can restore these Copilot features in my environment?User's image

The disappearance of Copilot buttons in PowerPoint is typically tied to Copilot availability in the app rather than to a specific translation feature.

From the available information:

  1. Copilot in PowerPoint only works when:
    • The file is a PowerPoint file (.ppt or .pptx), and
    • There is an active internet connection. If either condition is not met, Copilot controls can be unavailable or appear inactive.
  2. Microsoft 365 Copilot has specific requirements for:
    • App version
    • License
    • Network and privacy settings If these requirements are not satisfied, the Copilot button may be missing or greyed out in the ribbon. In that case, the environment must be checked against the documented Microsoft 365 Copilot requirements.
  3. Copilot experiences in PowerPoint (including in‑canvas buttons and ribbon commands) are part of the broader Microsoft 365 Copilot offering. If the Microsoft 365 Copilot license is removed, changed, or not assigned, or if the tenant configuration no longer grants access, Copilot features in PowerPoint will disappear.

To restore the Copilot buttons in PowerPoint:

  1. Confirm that the user has an appropriate Microsoft 365 Copilot license assigned and active.
  2. Ensure PowerPoint is up to date and that the file being edited is a .ppt or .pptx file opened while connected to the internet.
  3. If Copilot still does not appear in the ribbon, verify that all Microsoft 365 Copilot requirements are met and that any admin or network policies are not blocking Copilot in PowerPoint.

If, after these checks, Copilot remains unavailable, the issue is likely due to tenant configuration or licensing changes and should be escalated to the Microsoft 365 administrator to review Copilot licensing and app availability for the user.
