A permanent Xbox account suspension can only be reviewed and managed through the official Xbox enforcement system; it cannot be changed from Microsoft 365, Family Safety, or general account support.
Take these steps:
- Check the enforcement action and reason
- Go to the Xbox Enforcement site and sign in with the suspended account:
- There you can see the enforcement history and details about why the account was suspended, based on the Microsoft Services Agreement and Microsoft's Code of Conduct Explained for Xbox Live Customers.
- Submit a Case Review (if available)
- On the enforcement page, if the suspension is eligible, use the Case Review option to request that the Xbox Live Policy & Enforcement Team review the decision:
- See “how to submit a Case Review” on the enforcement site.
- Provide clear, accurate information explaining why the suspension may be in error.
- On the enforcement page, if the suspension is eligible, use the Case Review option to request that the Xbox Live Policy & Enforcement Team review the decision:
- Understand limits of appeal
- If the enforcement page does not offer a Case Review option, or if a Case Review has already been completed and upheld, the suspension is considered final and cannot be overturned through normal support channels.
If the Microsoft account itself (not just Xbox) is locked or suspended for Terms of Use violations, sign in at https://account.microsoft.com and follow the unlock flow to request a security code and complete any reinstatement steps shown there.
