Unable to delete Azure DNS zone due to stale delegation (azure.net authoritative chain)

I am unable to delete the DNS zone: dev.atlasinfra.azure.net Resource Group: atl-dev-global Subscription: <your-sub> Error: Cannot delete the zone because there exists a public delegation pointing to its nameservers. Troubleshooting already performed: 1. No parent zone exists in my subscription: - atlasinfra.azure.net does not exist in Azure DNS 2. Public DNS resolution: - nslookup dev.atlasinfra.azure.net → no answer 3. Authoritative trace: dig +trace shows delegation still exists: dev.atlasinfra.azure.net NS → ns1-04.azure-dns.com Response originates from: ns1-39.azure-dns.com (azure.net) 4. This issue has persisted for over 2 months Conclusion: - This appears to be a stale/orphaned delegation entry in Azure DNS backend (azure.net chain) - I do not have access to remove this delegation Request: Please clear the stale delegation so the DNS zone can be deleted.

I think the zone delete is blocked because a public NS delegation for dev.atlasinfra.azure.net is still being returned in the azure.net chain, and the right step is to ask Azure Support to remove that delegation so the delete can complete.
