Remotely update Team's default download location

We have an issue with Teams: the default download location is set to the users' download folder, which is fine. But a while back we moved the files from one server to another. For most users it seems to have updated fine when the group policy updated, but for others it hasn't - it still shows the old location. And it has been months at this point. It's easy enough to get the user to update - it is just one letter different in the filepath, but I'm looking for a way to change that remotely for possible - to fix it for people that haven't noticed the problem yet, or at least identify who is still affected. We tend to use fileshares more than Teams, but we do get tickets through occasionally. Also there are some younger users we'd prefer to fix it on without having to walk them through it.

I have not found any way online so far. I did find that the "storage.json" in the roaming profile (Microsoft > Teams) has the old download location, but it doesn't update to the new location after it is changed in the desktop app. Any suggestions where the setting might be stored / how it can be updated?
