    Hi @Salma Adel

From my findings, Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations does not provide a built-in feature to automatically create a recurring “28 days on / 28 days off” rotation pattern. However, you can achieve this requirement using standard working time calendars.

In your scenario, you can create two separate calendars:

    -Calendar A

    • First 28 days = working days
    • Next 28 days = non-working days

    -Calendar B

    • First 28 days = non-working days
    • Next 28 days = working days

You can then assign the appropriate calendar to each worker or resource.

Typically, the calendars are generated for a defined period (for example, one year) and extended or maintained later as needed.

In Finance and Operations, repeated work patterns such as “28 days on / 28 days off” are modeled by using working time templates and working time calendars, then assigning those calendars to positions/workers.

A concise way to implement this pattern is:

    1. Create a working time template for the 28‑day pattern
      • Go to the working time template setup page.
      • Define a 7‑day pattern that represents the typical hours for the workers (for example, normal daily hours for days that are “on,” and zero hours or non‑working for days that are “off”).
      • This template is the base pattern that will be repeated when generating calendars.
    2. Generate a working time calendar for “28 days on”
      • From the working time calendar page, create a new calendar ID such as 28_ON.
      • Use the working time template created in step 1 to generate the calendar for at least one year.
      • Adjust the generated days so that the first 28‑day block has working hours and the next 28‑day block is non‑working, repeating this sequence across the year. This can be done by editing the calendar lines so that the “on” 28‑day segments have hours and the “off” 28‑day segments have zero hours.
    3. Generate a working time calendar for “28 days off”
      • Create a second calendar ID such as 28_OFF.
      • Again, generate from the same working time template.
      • Offset the pattern so that where 28_ON has working days, 28_OFF has non‑working days, and vice versa. The result is two complementary calendars: one starting with 28 days on, the other starting with 28 days off.
    4. Assign calendars to positions/workers
      • Assign the 28_ON calendar as the schedule for the position (or directly for the worker) that should start with 28 days on.
      • Assign the 28_OFF calendar as the schedule for the position/worker that should start with 28 days off.
      • When a working time calendar is specified as the schedule for a position, all workers assigned to that position use that schedule, and the scheduled hours are used for earnings and leave calculations.

This approach gives two repeated calendars (28 on / 28 off) and links each to the appropriate worker via their position schedule.
