To stop the new Microsoft subscription and speak with a person, use these steps:
- First, try to cancel or turn off recurring billing online:
- Go to https://account.microsoft.com/services and sign in with the Microsoft account that was charged.
- Find the subscription that matches the “MICROSOFT*ONE MONTH” charge.
- Select Manage.
- If you see Cancel or Upgrade or Cancel, select it and follow the on‑screen instructions to cancel.
- If you see Turn on recurring billing instead of Manage, the subscription is already set to expire on the date shown and will not be charged again.
- If there is no option to cancel or recurring billing is already off, follow the “Unable to cancel” checks:
- Confirm where it was purchased. If it was bought through Google Play or Apple App Store, cancellation and refund must be handled through their support:
- Google Play: see Learn about Google Play refund policies.
- Apple App Store: request a refund from Apple support.
- Make sure the correct Microsoft account is signed in (the one that owns the subscription).
- If there is an overdue balance on the subscription, pay the outstanding amount first; cancellation is blocked while money is owing.
- Confirm where it was purchased. If it was bought through Google Play or Apple App Store, cancellation and refund must be handled through their support:
- To talk to a person at Microsoft about the charge or a refund:
- Go to Contact Microsoft Support.
- Enter the billing/subscription problem and select Get Help.
- When offered, choose Contact Support.
- Select the appropriate product category (for example, Microsoft 365 or subscriptions/billing) and follow the prompts to start a chat with a support agent or request a call back.
- For refund eligibility on the unwanted charge, review the refund guidance and follow the steps there to request a refund if available. In some countries (for example, Canada, Israel, Korea, Turkey, and certain EU countries for renewed subscriptions longer than 1 month), prorated refunds may apply.
If cancellation succeeds, the subscription will either stop immediately or at the end of the current term, depending on the specific offer and region.
