Hacked Microsoft account - Need recovery of OEM Office licence and account access

Hello,

My Microsoft account was hacked, and the hacker changed the recovery information, removed my phone number, and I lost access to the account completely.

I already contacted Microsoft Support and received service request emails regarding the investigation of my account. I also provided ownership information requested by support.

This Microsoft account was linked with:

  • My windows laptop
  • Microsoft Office that came preinstalled with my Lenovo laptop (OEM licence)
  • Xbox/Game Pass services
  • Important personal services and files

I do NOT want to create a completely new setup if recovery is still possible. I want guidance regarding:

  1. Whether my Microsoft account can still be recovered or escalated further
  2. Whether the OEM Office licence can be re-associated with a new Microsoft account on the SAME device if account recovery fails
  3. What official recovery or escalation options are still available

I still have:

  • My Lenovo laptop
  • Purchase invoice/bill
  • Previous account information
  • Recovery case/service request details
  • Old linked phone number information

I would appreciate any official guidance regarding recovery or licence reassociation.

Thank you.

Hi I am very sorry that has happened, if Microsoft support was already contacted then the next step is escalation to the Microsoft Account Recovery Team, Even if info was changed it can still be recovered. In order to contact the Microsoft account recovery support team use this link: https://account.live.com/acsr You are going to have to Provide as much accurate information as possible (past passwords, linked devices, services you use, billing info, etc.) if the automated process happens to fail, reply to your existing service request email and explicitly request manual review and escalation.
