DCR Data Sources only showing in classic version

Hello, I'm using microsoft sentinel to ingest events into a custom table in log analytics, and the data source I'm using is something like "Custom-table_CL" where table is the name in log analytics. This data source can only be found in the "classic version" so I'm wondering if what I'm doing is deprecated, or if there's a better way of doing it. The documentation surrounding log analytics is quite confusing so my method may be dated.

The ai answer suggested I'm using the deprecated http method to ingest data, but I'm using the DCR version, which still requires a data source

Hi Joshua Yeh,

What you are using is still supported as long as the ingestion is configured through a Data Collection Rule (DCR). The deprecated method is the legacy HTTP Data Collector API.

The confusion comes from the Azure portal experience, where some custom log tables with the _CL suffix still appear only in the “classic” view, even when they are connected to modern DCR-based ingestion.

If you are using a DCR together with the Logs Ingestion API or AMA, then your setup is using the current supported approach.

So, there is no need to migrate unless your environment is still using the older HTTP Data Collector API.
