I have an outstanding email address which is [Moderator note: Personally Identifiable Information removed] @northchadderton.oldham.sch.uk which is logged into my Mac book. It will not let me delete the app or log out and try logging in with my other email. It is requesting a code from the outstanding email which I can not access. Is there any way you can delete this email for me?

    Hi @Holly Needham,

This issue is usually caused by old Microsoft Teams sign-in credentials being cached locally on the MacBook.

Please try the steps below to completely remove the old school account from Teams on macOS:

    1. Quit Microsoft Teams completely: Right-click the Teams icon in the Dock and select "Quit"
    2. Open Finder, then select: Go > Go to Folder
    3. Remove the Teams cache folders below one at a time if they exist:

    ~/Library/Application Support/Microsoft/Teams

    ~/Library/Caches/com.microsoft.teams

    ~/Library/Caches/com.microsoft.teams.shipit

    ~/Library/Preferences/com.microsoft.teams.plist

    ~/Library/Application Support/CrashPad/com.microsoft.teams

    1. Open "Keychain Access" from Applications > Utilities
    2. In the search box, search for:
    • Teams
    • Microsoft Teams
    • ADAL
    • MSAL
    • Microsoft Office
    1. Delete any credentials related to the old school account
    2. Restart the MacBook
    3. Download and reinstall the latest version of Teams: Download Teams Desktop and Mobile Apps | Microsoft Teams

You can also refer to the official Microsoft article for additional details: Clear the Teams client cache - Microsoft Teams | Microsoft Learn

After reinstalling, try signing in with the new email account.

If the old account still appears automatically, please send a screenshot of the sign-in window with any personal information removed.
