Additional assignment-related features and issues within Microsoft Teams for Education
Hi @David Cutajar,
Thank you for taking the time to share these details.
Since this is a user‑to‑user support forum, I don’t have access to backend systems or the permissions needed to directly inspect what’s happening within your Teams tenant.
That said, based on what you’ve described, this issue appears to be affecting all groups owned by one teacher and specific groups for a couple of others, which suggests the scope is fairly broad.
Because of that, this may require a deeper investigation to properly identify the root cause. To get this looked into more effectively, I’d strongly recommend submitting a support ticket with Microsoft Support through your Microsoft 365 admin center. If you’re not a Microsoft 365 admin yourself, please reach out to your school’s IT administrator and ask them to raise a ticket using the guidance here: Get support - Microsoft 365 admin | Microsoft Learn
Tip: When submitting the support request, you can turn off the Support Assistant if it appears, then type a few keywords into the search box and select Get Help. After a short moment, the Contact Support option should appear. At the final step, be sure to clearly describe your issue and note that it should be handled by the Microsoft Education Department in the description fields. This will help route the request correctly and allow the support engineers to understand your situation more quickly and assist you more effectively.
Once the ticket is opened, a technical support engineer can work with you, including conducting a remote session if needed, to investigate the issue further. They’ll be able to review backend configurations and run the necessary synchronization checks to help resolve the problem. This is generally the fastest and most effective approach, and it helps minimize disruption to teaching and learning.
Thank you for taking the time to read through this.
