Is Loop no longer being developed? Custom Labels for Tables are not functioning

The creation of custom labels for Loop Tables are not functioning at all. Which leads me to wonder whether Loop is being actively supported and/or developed, given the emphasis on Copilot?

So, I suppose I may be throwing this issue into a deep backlog pool of things that will never be fixed, but it is not currently possible to add Custom Labels to a column in a table in Loop. You can name the custom label and add options, but you can't click into / get your cursor into the options to name them. As such, it's also not possible to save the custom label at all - rendering the ability to create a custom label completely non-functional.

The answer came from Nick - thanks Nick:

"I experience the exact same issue and I think it was introduced with the latest version/update of Loop.

    I tested it with:

    • new Loop workspaces, sites, and tables
    • Microsoft Edge, Chrome, and Firefox
    • Windows app and Android app

    The problem occurs everywhere consistently.

For me, it does not work properly with app version 20260505036.

This looks like a regression/bug introduced recently rather than a browser or local configuration issue.

Luckily, there is a workaround: instead of using the mouse or touch input, you can navigate through the option fields using the arrow keys on your keyboard. This makes it possible to name the two options and save the new label group."

    Hi @Helen Gerling

I’m happy to look into this with you as a fellow Loop user.

After reading through your description, I’ve tried this myself with Custom Labels in Loop tables, and in my setup everything is behaving normally.

Based on that, it doesn’t appear that this feature has been removed or that Loop is no longer being actively worked on. From what I’ve seen, behavior like this is usually related to a UI quirk or something specific to a particular environment, rather than a broader product change.

If you’re using Loop on the web, there are a few quick checks that often help with situations like this. Clearing your browser cache and cookies can sometimes resolve unexpected UI behavior. It can also be helpful to try the same steps in an InPrivate or Incognito window, or to test in a different browser if you have one available.

If the issue still persists, could you try creating a brand-new Loop page and adding a table directly on that page, then setting up a Custom Label again? Please let me know whether it works there or if you’re seeing the same behavior, as that will help narrow things down further.

Once you’ve had a chance to try this, feel free to leave an update in a comment here. That’s the best way for me to stay notified and follow up with you promptly.

Thank you for engaging with me.

Thank you for the update @Helen Gerling. I’m really glad to hear that the workaround @Nick suggested is helping you create the custom label smoothly and that you’re able to move forward. It’s always encouraging to see things come together like that.

I’d also like to share this in the right spirit. Everyone who takes the time to engage with your question here genuinely has the same intention: to share their experience, insights, or possible solutions based on the knowledge and support they have. Suggestions may not always be a perfect fit right away, but they’re always offered with the goal of helping. With that in mind, I truly appreciate your understanding that I’ve done my best to assist based on what’s currently available.

In this particular case, it does come down to a current limitation of Loop rather than a configuration issue on your side. If you and others following the discussion feel this could be improved, you may want to consider sharing your thoughts through the Loop · Community.
