    Hi @Administration Hempstead

    I hope you’re having a great day.

To prevent members from using background filters/effects in Teams meetings, please update the Teams Meeting Policies:

    1. Go to Teams admin center > Meetings > Meeting policies (If you don’t have admin rights, please contact your organization’s IT team so they can proceed on your behalf.)
    2. Select the policy applied to your users (Global or your custom policy)
    3. Under Audio & video, set “Participants can use video effects” to one of the following:
    • Off (blocks all background effects)
    • Only background blur (allows blur only)
    • Only background blur and default backgrounds (blocks users from uploading custom images)
    • User's image
    • Click Save and allow some time for the change to apply across clients.

Additionally, if you meant “Video Filters” (frames/overlay-style filters), those are delivered as Teams apps. To block them:

    1. In Teams admin center > Teams apps > Manage apps
    2. User's image
    3. Search for Custom Filters (or the specific filter app name shown in the meeting experience)
    4. User's image
    5. Open the app > Actions > Block app
    6. User's image
    7. Allow some time for the change to apply across clients.

Background filters and custom backgrounds are controlled per user in the Teams client; the provided context only explains how end users can turn them on or off for themselves before or during a meeting. It does not include any admin or policy settings to prevent members from using background filters.
