Hello,

I was unable to download Microsoft 365, so I deleted my school account in order to try reinstalling it. However, I now want to reactivate the school account, but I am receiving the following message:

“To fix this issue, please contact your system administrator and provide error code 135011.”

account: [Moderator note: personal info removed] @koreatech.ac.kr

Could you please help me reactivate my school account or resolve this issue?

Thank you.

    Hello @다인 S2,

    Thank you for your message.

Based on the error message you shared (Error Code 135011), this indicates that your school account is no longer fully active or accessible in the system. This usually happens when the account has been deleted, disabled, or partially removed and now requires administrative action to restore.

This type of issue cannot be resolved from the user side, as it is managed at the organization (school) level.

To proceed, you will need to contact your school’s IT administrator and provide them with the error code 135011. They will be able to reactivate or restore the account.

Once your administrator updates the account from their side, you should be able to sign in and use Microsoft 365 again.

If you are unsure who your IT administrator is, you can refer to this official Microsoft guide for assistance: How do I find my Microsoft 365 admin? - Microsoft Support

I understand this can be inconvenient, especially after trying to reinstall the account, but the access and licensing for school accounts are controlled entirely by the organization, so only your IT admin can make the necessary changes.

Please let me know if you need any further clarification.

    Kind regards,

Error code 135011 indicates that the device or account has been disabled by the organization. Only the school’s IT/system administrator can re-enable it; it cannot be fixed locally by reinstalling Microsoft 365.

Use these steps to move forward:

    1. Contact the school IT/helpdesk
      • Provide the exact error text and error code 135011.
      • Provide the school email address (for example, ******@koreatech.ac.kr).
      • If the admin portal shows a Device Object ID or that the device/account is disabled, ask them to re-enable it in Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) and confirm that the account is still active and licensed for Microsoft 365.
    2. Have the admin verify licensing
    3. After the admin re-enables the account/device and confirms licensing On the Windows device where Microsoft 365 is used:
      1. Open any Office app (for example, Word).
      2. Sign out of all accounts in the app.
      3. Go to Start > Settings > Accounts > Access work or school and disconnect any old school/work entries for this account.
      4. Restart the device.
      5. Sign in again with the school account when prompted by Office.
    4. If activation/sign-in still fails after re-enabling

Because this is a school (education) account managed by an organization, only the school’s administrator can clear error 135011 by re-enabling the account/device and ensuring the license is correctly assigned.
