    Dear @toillah,

I’m sorry you’re seeing “Unlicensed Product” in Excel, this typically means Office activation is failing, so the apps switch to limited functionality until activation is restored.

Below are the fastest ways to get your student (school) license working again.

Step 1: Confirm your student license is still assigned

    1. Sign in with your school account at m365.cloud.microsoft/apps and look for Install apps.
    2. If you do not see an install option, your account may not have a desktop-app license (some schools only provide web apps) or the license was removed/expired. Download, install, or reinstall Microsoft 365 or Office 2024 on a PC or Mac - Microsoft Support. In that case, please contact your school IT admin to reassign the Microsoft 365 Apps license (or confirm what your school plan includes). Get started with Microsoft 365 Education - Microsoft Support

Step 2: Sign out of Office and sign back in with the correct school account

In Excel (or any Office app):

    1. Go to File > Account (or Office Account) and sign out of all accounts.
    2. Close all Office apps, reopen Excel, then Sign in using your school email (work/school account). Using the wrong account is a common reason Office shows “We couldn’t find any Office products” / “Unlicensed Product.” Please refer to this document: Unlicensed Product and activation errors in Office - Microsoft Support

Step 3: Fix conflicts caused by multiple Office installs (if applicable)

If you’ve had more than one Office version installed, activation can conflict: Uninstall extra/older Office versions, restart, then open Excel and sign in again.

Step 4: Run the official Microsoft activation troubleshooter (Windows 10/11)

Microsoft provides a built-in troubleshooter that can identify and fix activation issues:

Step 5: Reinstall Microsoft 365 Apps from your school portal (if needed)

If the license is present but Office still won’t activate:

    1. Go to m365.cloud.microsoft/apps (signed in with your school account).
    2. Select Install apps > Microsoft 365 apps, install, then open an app and sign in to activate. Download, install, or reinstall Microsoft 365 or Office 2024 on a PC or Mac - Microsoft Support.

If your school license is assigned but activation still fails, clearing cached Office sign-in credentials can help (often handled by IT): Microsoft 365 Apps activation Unlicensed product error - Microsoft 365 Apps | Microsoft Learn. Microsoft’s enterprise troubleshooting steps include removing Office credentials and resetting the activation state (some steps may require admin/IT assistance).

Please let me know if the issue persists after trying these steps.
