Hi, so I recently graduated college and I used OneNote on my tablet for all my classes. I recently lost access to my account and realized that I never saved my notebooks for future reference. I can still access them on my tablet, but not on my computer as the account cannot make any new logins. How can I save my notebooks for future reference? Please let me know!

    Dear @Lauren Swindler,

Good day, and thank you for providing a detailed description of your situation.

First of all, congratulations on your graduation! I understand that these notebooks are important to you, especially as you may need them for future reference.

From my research, OneNote for Android does not support exporting an entire notebook as a .onepkg file this capability is only available in the desktop versions of OneNote (Windows or Mac).

On a Windows device, you can typically export a notebook by using File > Save a Copy in OneNote and saving it either to OneDrive (Personal) or to This PC. However, if your notebooks are stored under your college account, this option may not be available unless:

    • You regain access to that account on a Windows or Mac device, or
    • Your school temporarily restores access to the account

If your notebooks are stored in a personal OneDrive account, then exporting through the web or desktop app would generally be supported.

Since you can still open the notebooks on your tablet, the safest practical step is to avoid signing out of the app for now. If possible, you may also want to save the most important notes as soon as you can using whatever sharing, printing, or copying options are still available on that device.

If your school account has already been disabled or is about to expire, it would be best to contact your college IT department as soon as possible and ask if they can temporarily restore access or assist with retrieving your notebooks. That would usually give you the best chance of saving them properly. If you don't know who your IT administrator is, please refer to this article: How do I find my Microsoft 365 admin? - Microsoft Support

I hope this helps clarify the situation and gives you a clear path forward. Please feel free to let me know how it goes or if you need any further assistance. I’d be happy to continue supporting you. Wishing you all the best, and I hope you’re able to secure your notes successfully!
