A family of Microsoft spreadsheet software with tools for analyzing, charting, and communicating data.
Hello Angela Ip
I can see that you are currently cannot cut and paste table data from web to Excel after a system update.
If Excel is now pasting everything into one row, it likely means the table is being copied as plain text instead of structured table data.
Here is what you can try:
Use Excel’s web import tool:
- Copy the webpage URL.
- Open Excel.
- Go to Data > From Web.
- Paste the URL, then select OK.
- Choose the detected table in the Navigator window and select Load.
You can read more about this method here: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/import-data-from-the-web-a1a6b325-17f3-45c8-ae72-c421cb2a8e90
If the table is not detected correctly:
- In the web import window, try Add Table Using Examples.
- Enter a few sample values from the webpage so Excel can identify the correct table structure.
If the data still paste in only one column, try using this temporary workaround:
- Paste the data into Excel.
- If everything appears in one column, use Data > Text to Columns.
- Choose the correct delimiter, such as Tab, Comma, or Space, then finish the import.
I hope this help. Feel free reply back to this post and update me on this issue, I'll be happy to help.
