    Hi!

Are you able to access your email on another device?

Have you tried another verification method, such as a code via the recovery email, or an Authenticator? Or is it not configured?

If it works on another device

Reinstall Outlook on your iPhone. You must remove the account in iPhone settings > accounts (if present) before reinstalling the app.

If it doesn't work on another device

Check if your account is locked using Sign-In Helper.

The verification code is going to an old phone number that is still saved as security info on the Microsoft account. That must be updated or replaced before Hotmail (Outlook.com) can sign in on the iPhone.

    Follow these steps:

    1. When prompted to verify identity and only the old phone is shown, choose I don't have any of these (or similar wording) on the verification screen.
    2. Follow the prompts to start the account recovery process and add new security info (current phone or email). Provide as much accurate information as possible when asked.
    3. If already signed in on another device or browser, go to the Microsoft account security page and update security info there. Do not remove all existing security info at once, or the account may be restricted for 30 days.
    4. If no access to any of the listed phone/email options and recovery fails, wait for the recovery/lockout period to complete and then try again. Support agents cannot send verification codes or change account details.
    5. After the new phone number is added and verified, remove the old number from the security info, then re-add the Hotmail account in Outlook for iOS and complete sign-in using the new verification method.

If still unable to sign in, use the sign-in helper tool to diagnose common sign-in issues, or contact Microsoft Support for additional technical help (they still cannot change security info or send codes).
