Cant find the "find tag's" feature or summary pages in OneNote for Mac

Hi, I’m having trouble with OneNote for Mac and was hoping someone could help.

I can’t find the “Find Tags” feature or any option to create a tag summary page. I’ve watched multiple tutorials and read through Q&As, but the option just doesn’t appear for me.

  • The “Find Tags” button isn’t visible in the Home tab
  • I can search for tags, but the results are disorganised and not in a proper summary format
  • Right-clicking on tags doesn’t give me any option to create a summary page

Is this feature unavailable or different on Mac, or am I missing something in settings?

Thanks!

    Hi Stella Daldry

Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Q&A forum.

I understand how confusing this can be when tutorials show options that don’t appear in your version of Microsoft OneNote.

Based on my research and testing, the “Find Tags” pane and the option to create a tag summary page are not available in OneNote for Mac.

On Mac, you can search for tags using the Search feature:

-Click the Search button on the left.

-Select a tag from the list, or type the tag name in the search box.

-Open the pages where the tag appears (results will be highlighted).

-Adjust the search scope if needed using the filter options (e.g., All Notebooks, Current Notebook, Current Section, Current Page).
