    Hi @Mariyam Farag,

In most cases, a form is reopened because additional information, corrections, or specific updates are required. If the form is resubmitted without addressing the comments or issues noted during the reopen, the system may automatically reopen it again, which can make it seem as though the submission did not go through successfully.

Here are some steps you can take to help address the issue:

    1. Please review the reopen message or comments carefully These notes usually indicate what information or action is required before the form can move forward.
    2. Update the necessary details before resubmitting This may include correcting certain fields, completing required information, or re‑uploading documents that were flagged.
    3. Resubmit the form only after making the required changes Resubmitting the same information without updates may result in the form reopening again.
    4. Try basic technical checks (if applicable)
    • Use a different browser
    • Clear cache and cookies
    • Ensure stable internet connection
    • Avoid multiple submissions at the same time

If you have already completed all the requested changes and the issue continues, I recommend that you reach out to your IT support team. This is important because IT can:

    • Check for system‑level or access‑related issues
    • Review submission logs or error messages that are not visible to end users
    • Identify browser, permission, or technical issues that may prevent the form from saving or updating correctly

Once IT reviews the issue, they can either resolve it directly or escalate it further if needed.

The behavior described (page refreshes, answers disappear, timer continues) matches a broken real‑time connection in Microsoft Forms.

When the form or quiz sits idle or the connection is interrupted, Forms can lose the live session. Submitting in that state can fail and appear as a simple page refresh with no saved answers.

To reduce the chance of this happening again:

    1. Before starting the quiz, close other browser tabs using heavy network activity and ensure a stable internet connection.
    2. If the quiz page has been open for a long time before answering, refresh the page once before starting to answer so the real‑time connection is renewed.
    3. If the page suddenly refreshes or becomes unresponsive while answering, stop and contact the teacher immediately so the quiz can be reopened or the attempt can be reviewed.
    4. If the quiz is reopened again, open it in a fresh browser window, sign in again if required, and complete and submit it without leaving the page idle for long periods.

Because this is an education quiz, the teacher may need to:

    • Reopen or reassign the quiz in Microsoft Teams or Forms.
    • Check the Responses tab in Forms after refreshing the page to see whether any submission was actually recorded.

If the problem continues even with a fresh browser session and stable connection, the teacher or school IT admin should capture the time, class, and quiz name and contact Microsoft support, as this indicates a persistent connectivity or service issue.
