Hello,

We are experiencing an issue with task duplication in Microsoft Planner (within Microsoft Teams).

When we copy a template task and include Assignments (assigned users), the duplicated task does not appear in the target board/bucket. However, if we copy the same template without selecting Assignments, the task is created and displayed correctly.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Open an existing task (used as a template)
  2. Select “Copy task”
  3. Choose the target plan and bucket
  4. Enable “Assignments”
  5. Create the copy

Result:

  • The copied task is not visible in the destination board.

Expected result:

  • The copied task should appear in the selected board with assigned users.

Additional notes:

  • Recreating the template temporarily resolves the issue, but it reoccurs after some time.
