    Hi Julie Dunn

I understand your iPhone 16 is receiving Outlook.com email again, but your Outlook.com calendar isn’t syncing, and you would like to request a callback. I’m happy to help. Do your events appear correctly in Outlook.com Calendar on the web?

    Meanwhile, please follow these steps:

    1) Confirm Calendar sync is enabled for the account

    • On your iPhone, go to: Settings > Apps > Calendar > Calendar Accounts.
    • Select your Outlook.com account (or Add Account if missing), then make sure the Calendar toggle is turned On.

    2) Confirm you’re viewing the correct calendar in the iPhone Calendar app

Open the Calendar app > tap Calendars (bottom) > ensure your Outlook calendar is checked/selected.

    3) If the account was added as IMAP/POP, calendar will NOT sync

Please tell me how it goes. If the problem persists, please don’t hesitate to reply to this thread and I will be happy to help. Have a lovely day!

On an iPhone, email can sync even when calendar and contacts do not, depending on how the account is set up.

Key points and steps to fix it:

    1. Check how the account is configured
      • If the Outlook/Outlook.com account is added as IMAP or POP, only email will sync; calendar and contacts will not.
      • Calendar and contacts require the account to be set up using Exchange ActiveSync (for example, via the Outlook app or as an Exchange/Outlook.com account in iOS).
    2. If using the Outlook mobile app
      1. Open the Outlook app on the iPhone.
      2. Go to Settings.
      3. Tap the account that is not syncing the calendar.
      4. Tap Reset Account and wait for it to resync.
      5. If the calendar still does not sync:
        • In Settings, tap the same account.
        • Tap Delete Account > Delete From This Device.
        • Add the account again using the Outlook app’s guided setup for Outlook.com/Exchange (do not choose IMAP/POP if prompted).
        • If prompted only for IMAP, the provider configuration may not support calendar/contacts via that method.
    3. If the account was added directly in iOS (Mail/Calendar/Contacts)
      • Remove the existing Outlook/Outlook.com account if it is set as IMAP/POP.
      • Re-add it as an Exchange/Outlook.com account so that calendar and contacts can sync via Exchange ActiveSync.
    4. If calendar still does not sync after re-adding
      • Set up the same account in Outlook on a PC using the Exchange protocol.
      • Send a test email and create a test calendar event on the PC.
      • Close Outlook, restart the PC, reopen Outlook, and confirm the test event appears in the calendar.
      • Then check the iPhone Outlook app again; the calendar should now sync. If not, go to Settings in the Outlook app and restart the app.

If the account is a work or school Microsoft 365/Exchange account and the calendar still will not sync after these steps, contact the organization’s Microsoft 365 admin or technical support. For Outlook.com or Outlook app issues, contact Microsoft support.
