If I have purchased Microsoft Office 2024 "one-time purchase for 1 PC" can I install it more than once on the same device? Twelve days in on my new laptop and the company wants to do a factory reset to fix the issues I'm experiencing but I don't want to lose my software.

Yep - you can reinstall Microsoft Office 2024 on your laptop after the factory reset. A one-time purchase is tied to your Microsoft account, not just the temporary files on your hard drive. As long as you are installing it on the same physical machine, you will not lose your license or be required to purchase it again.

Once the factory reset is complete and you have finished the Windows setup, you can get your software back by visiting the Microsoft services and subscriptions page at https://microsoft.com. Sign in with the same Microsoft account you used when you first activated the software, find Office 2024 in your list of purchased products, and click the install link.

When the installation finishes, simply open an application like Word and sign in. The system will recognize your hardware and account, automatically activating the software without requiring you to enter the product key again. Since this is the same laptop, you shouldn't run into any "limit exceeded" errors, but if you do, the activation wizard will provide a phone number to quickly clear the hardware lock.
