For context, I use a Samsung Tab 10 FE+ and used OneNote for a while. It was all good until my notes would not show up. I will wait and wait and nothing ever comes up. it even claims that it needs more time syncing, even tho I'm allowing it to snyc without WiFi and waited. So I tried to sign out and sign back, only to find that now the app itself will not load when I try to sign back in. I uninstalled and reinstalled the app: didn't work. I restarted my device: didn't work. I cleared all it's cashe, data and force stopped it (my files were synced to my laptop so it was fine) and it still wouldn't work. I felt like I tried everything but OneNote will still not work. Can you please fix your app on the tablet because I downloaded it on my phone and I had no issues opening it up and this app used to work until I suddenly couldn't open it.

    Hi @美花 小

Thank you for providing a detailed account of the troubleshooting steps you have already performed.

As you shared, OneNote is failing to load or synchronize your notebooks on your Samsung Tab 10 FE+, despite performing clean reinstalls, clearing cache and data, and verifying that the application functions correctly on other mobile devices.

This behavior is currently an issue resulting from a WebView regression within the Samsung April 2026 security update. To help resolve this, please follow the specific sequence below:

Step 1: Try to reset Android System WebView

    • Navigate to Settings > Search for "Android System WebView" > App Details in Store > Remove Updates.
    • Reboot your device.
    • Return to Settings > Search for "Android System WebView" > App Details In Store > Update.

Note: If "Android System WebView" does not appear in your primary app list, please navigate to

    • Settings > Google > All services > System Services > Select "Android System WebView."
    • Reboot the device once more.
    • Launch Teams or Outlook and attempt to log in to re-establish the authentication handshake.

Step 2: Update Google Play system.

Please ensure your core system components are current, as these manage security certificates:

    • Go to Settings > About tablet > Software information.
    • Tap Google Play system update and install any available patches.

Step 3: Service Verification via Web.

To isolate the device from the account, please sign in to onenote.com via a web browser. If your notes appear correctly there, the issue is strictly localized to the tablet's application environment.

Note: As you are using an education account, and this service disruption is widespread this month, I recommend contacting your institution's IT department. They should investigate if specific Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD) conditional access policies were inadvertently triggered by the latest Samsung firmware update.

I hope the information above is helpful. Please let me know if the behavior persists after following these procedures.

    Looking forward to your update.

Follow these steps on the Samsung Tab 10 FE+ to troubleshoot OneNote not loading and sync issues:

    1. Make sure the tablet is online and syncing is allowed
    • Confirm the device has a stable internet connection (Wi‑Fi or mobile data).
    • Because OneNote is reporting that it “needs more time syncing,” leave the device powered on and OneNote in the foreground for an extended period, especially if the notebook is large or syncing for the first time.
    1. Reset OneNote account credentials in the Android app If OneNote opens at least to the Notebooks list or settings, reset the account credentials:
    2. Open OneNote.
    3. At the bottom left, tap Notebooks.
    4. Tap the three‑dots menu in the upper‑right corner and choose Settings.
    5. Tap Account.
    6. Tap Sign Out, then OK.
    7. Use the recent‑apps button, find OneNote, and swipe it away to fully close it.
    8. Start OneNote again and sign back in with the same account used on the laptop.
    9. Force a manual sync of the notebook Once OneNote loads and the account is signed in:
    10. In OneNote, locate the notebook that was not showing notes.
    11. Tap the three‑dots menu in the upper‑right corner.
    12. Choose Sync (account name) notebook.
      • To sync all notebooks, go to the notebooks list, tap the three‑dots menu, then Sync all.
    13. Leave the device on and OneNote in the foreground until syncing completes. For large notebooks, this can take a long time.
    14. Check for app updates on Android If OneNote still will not load properly or continues to show sync errors, update it to the latest version:
    15. Open the Play Store app.
    16. Tap the menu icon, then My apps & games.
    17. If OneNote shows an Update button, tap Update (or Update All).
    18. After updating, try opening OneNote again and repeat the sign‑in and sync steps above.
    19. Verify notes on another device or in the browser Since the notes sync correctly to the laptop, confirm that the notebook itself is healthy by opening it there and checking sync status. If the notebook is stored on OneDrive or SharePoint, it can also be opened in a browser via https://www.onenote.com to confirm the latest content is present.

If OneNote continues to fail only on the tablet after these steps (while working on phone and laptop), the issue is likely specific to the Android installation or device environment. In that case, keep OneNote updated from the Play Store and use the web version or another device while waiting for app fixes in future releases.
