3. In the search bar, type:
   • Microsoft

   • or your email
4. Double-click an entry → check “Show password” → enter your Mac password

You’ve got two different issues happening at once, Outlook freezing with the blue loading bar and that Keychain pop-up about Exchange. Outlook is trying to access saved login data, but it’s corrupted, outdated, or mismatched that's why authentication fails → Outlook gets stuck in that loading loop.

Use the built-in account wizard in Outlook for Mac and, if needed, check Gmail’s IMAP settings.

1. In Outlook for Mac, on the menu bar select Outlook > Settings.
2. Under Personal Settings, select Accounts.
3. Select Add Account (or Add Email Account in Legacy Outlook).
4. Type the Gmail address and select Continue.
5. When prompted, sign in to the Google account and follow the prompts.
6. On the Google permissions screen, select Allow so Outlook can access mail, calendar, and contacts.
7. When setup completes, select Done.

If Outlook reports trouble connecting to Gmail, verify Gmail is configured to allow IMAP:

1. In a browser, go to Gmail.
2. Open Settings and select the Forwarding and POP/IMAP tab.
3. Under IMAP access, select Enable IMAP.
4. Select Save Changes.

Then retry adding the Gmail account in Outlook using the steps above.

If an error such as NoPrimaryEmailErr or Unable to authenticate user appears when adding the Google account, update Outlook for Mac to at least build 16.23 using the automatic update process, then try adding the account again.
