    Hello Tom Neal,

I see that you need help with Microsoft 365 Installation and subscription. I truly understand how you feel. Let me assist you go through this situation.

You can install your existing Microsoft 365 subscription on your iPad easily. Since it’s already working on your HP computer, you just need to install the apps and sign in with the same Microsoft account. To install Microsoft 365 on an iPad (for home users):

Option 1: Install all‑in‑one Microsoft 365 app (recommended)

This single app includes Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and more.

    1. On your iPad, open the App Store.
    2. Search for Microsoft 365 (formerly “Office”).
    3. Tap Get to install.
    4. Open the app after installation.
    5. Tap Sign in.
    6. Sign in using the same Microsoft account you use on your HP computer.

Once signed in, your subscription activates automatically and premium features unlock. For more information: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/install-and-set-up-the-microsoft-365-copilot-app-on-an-iphone-or-ipad-9df6d10c-7281-4671-8666-6ca8e339b628

Option 2: Install individual apps (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

    If you prefer separate apps:

    1. Open the App Store.
    2. Search for Microsoft Word (repeat for Excel and PowerPoint).
    3. Tap Get to install each app.
    4. Open any app.
    5. Tap Sign in.
    6. Sign in with the same Microsoft account tied to your Microsoft 365 subscription.

Your subscription will activate across all installed Office apps once you sign in.

    Important notes for you:

I hope this will help with your situation. Please feel free to reach back if you have further update or more questions.

To use a Microsoft 365 subscription on an iPad, install the Microsoft 365 apps and sign in with the same account used on the HP computer.

    1. On the iPad, open the App Store.
    2. Either:
      • Install the Microsoft 365 Copilot app for iOS (all-in-one app for Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) using the download link: https://aka.ms/OfficeAppiOS, or
      • Install individual apps such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, or OneNote from the App Store.
    3. Open any installed Microsoft 365 app (for example, Word or Excel).
    4. When prompted, sign in with the same Microsoft account or Microsoft 365 work/school account that has the subscription.
    5. Tap Next and complete the prompts (such as opting in/out of improvement program and notifications).
    6. After signing in, the account is automatically added to that app and any other Microsoft 365 apps installed on the iPad.

If there is no Microsoft account yet, create one at https://account.microsoft.com/ and then associate or purchase a Microsoft 365 subscription. A qualifying subscription unlocks premium features on the iPad.
