As part of model migration, we need to change the Pricing Tier from Basic to Standard of our AI Search Service - aip-int-srch-eastus2. However, this is not permitted in East US 2 region and asking to spin a new resource in a different region. Our resource is associated to Private Endpoint. Creating a new resource in a different region will lend in creation of all the 69 resources present in RG aip-int-rg-eastus2 and creating the entire environment from the scratch which doesn't seems to be a feasible solution. Hence, requesting you to kindly assist in upgrading this pricing tier to Standard.

    HI @Twisha Mistry

As discussed offline, the issue was caused by a regional capacity limitation in East US 2, which prevented an in‑place pricing tier upgrade of the Azure AI Search service from Basic to Standard. Due to this capacity constraint, the Azure portal blocked the tier change, even though the operation is normally supported. Since the customer did not want to migrate the service or recreate the existing environment (including Private Endpoints and dependent resources), a backend support ticket was raised to the respective engineering team. After the backend intervention to address the region‑specific capacity limitation, the issue was resolved successfully.
