Thanks for reaching out in Microsoft Q&A forum,
To get your AI4Journalism – All4Integrity Azure sponsorship (ID aeb9c47f-f154-4b20-8213-fccbb5662893) renewed, here’s what you need to do:
Head over to the Microsoft Nonprofit Hub and sign in with the admin account that manages your grant. Once you’re in:
- Click Nonprofit grants from the top menu.
- Find your $2,000 Azure Grant offer—it’ll show your subscription ID and expiry date.
- Hit the Renew Now button and follow the prompts to confirm eligibility and accept the terms.
- You’ll get a confirmation email once it’s done.
You can only renew on or up to 30 days before your grant’s annual expiration date, so if the button is greyed out, you’re likely too early.
If the Button’s Missing or Your Grant Already Expired
No worries, you can still renew, but you’ll need to reach out to Microsoft Support:
- Go to the Azure Portal → Help + support → Create a support request.
- Pick Billing as the issue type, select your sponsorship subscription, and explain that you need to renew your Azure grant (mention your org name and subscription ID).
- If you’ve already been charged because the grant lapsed, ask them to move your subscription back to the sponsorship offer and waive any overage fees.
You can also email nonprofit@microsoft.com directly if you prefer.
A Few Things to Keep in Mind
- The annual credit is now $2,000 USD (down from the old $3,500).
- If you don’t renew by the expiry date, any usage after that gets billed at standard pay-as-you-go rates until you renew.
