Method 1: Remove extra Outlook profiles
- Exit Outlook.
- Open Control Panel --> Mail --> Show Profiles.
- Remove every profile except the user’s primary profile.
- Start Outlook and test.
Method 2: Create a brand‑new profile
- Exit Outlook.
- Control Panel --> Mail --> Show Profiles -->Add (create a new profile).
- Use the Add Account wizard to add the mailbox, then finish.
- Back in Show Profiles, remove the original profile.
- Select Always use this profile and choose the new profile.
Note: If the profile contains POP/IMAP accounts or .pst files, back those up before removing profiles (removing a profile removes local data files for that profile).
