how do i disconnect my school account from my personal device

i would like to know how to disconnect my school account from my device because it is limiting some features like windows hello and virus and threat protection which i would like to access and can be very annoying.

ive tried making another account a administrator and it comes up with system error 5 in the command prompt.

please help

    Good day! I hope you're doing well 

    Based on the information you’ve shared, please follow the steps below to help resolve the issue. 

    (Please back up all your important data before you perform the steps.) 

    Step 1: Sign out of all Office apps  

    • Open Word (or any Office app).  
    • Go to File > Account.  
    • Select Sign out if it's connected to the school account.  
    • Close all Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams).  

    Step 2: Remove work or school account from Windows  

    • Open Settings > Accounts > Access work or school.  
    • Select your current account.  
    • Click Disconnect and confirm.  
    • Restart your device.

    Step 3: Delete identity and authentication cache  

    • Press Windows + R.  
    • Open the following location: %localappdata%\Microsoft  
    • Delete these folders if they exist:  
      • IdentityCache  
      • OneAuth  
      • Olk  

    Note: Folder Olk is located in the same Microsoft folder as OneAuth.

    Step 4: Clear Credential Manager  

    • Open Control Panel > Credential Manager.  
    • Select Windows Credentials.  
    • Remove any entries related to:  
      • MicrosoftOffice  
      • Office/Outlook/Teams 
      • OneAuth  
      • ADAL  
      • Accounts associated with the school tenant

    Step 5: Restart and try again 

    • Restart the computer.  
    • Test the behavior again.
