Add Student Section to the Teams Class Notebook

Normally, when you set up a Class Notebook for a class team, student sections are created automatically once students are added to the team. When a user is added with the Student role, Teams and OneNote automatically create a private notebook space with that student’s individual sections.

Just to make sure I understand correctly, are you not seeing the list of your students’ names in the Student Sections at the moment?

If that’s the case, you can try the following steps:

First, go to your class team in Microsoft Teams, select More options, then choose Add member and make sure all students are added to the team.

This should trigger the automatic provisioning process. In most cases, the individual student sections will be created within a few minutes. Occasionally it can take a little longer due to synchronization, so please allow some time and try refreshing the tab if needed.

I’d recommend giving this a try and seeing if the student sections appear.
