Storage Account - NSP Access issue via AzVPN

We're no longer able to access our storage account from the AzVPN - even though it's service tag (MsftAzVPN) is listed in NSP inbound access rules StorageAccountAllowedList.
This stopped working recently (first noticed on 03/16/2026 - 12pm UTC) despite no changes being made to our storage account or NSP configuration. The other whitelisted tags (such as CorpNetPublic and CorpNetSaw) are still working. Attempting to access from VPN results in the following error ErrorCode: AuthorizationFailure, Message: This request is not authorized by network security permiter to perform this operation.

    Hi @ Billy Jensen,

    Welcome to Microsoft Q&A Platform.

Can you please check the NSP access logs and identify the source IP address from which the traffic is originating?

If logs are not enabled, please navigate to NSP → Diagnostic settings, enable the logs, wait for about 10 minutes, and then try accessing the storage account.

To resolve the issue, please add the full /24 range in the NSP inbound rule to allow traffic from Azure VPN. Since the Azure VPN public IP can change, adding the full range is recommended.

For your reference, I am also using Azure VPN and have added the full range (x.x.122.0/24).

After adding this range to the NSP, I was able to access the storage account successfully.User's image
