Use Device Manager to fully remove and let Windows reinstall the Bluetooth adapter, then update or roll back the driver if needed.
- Open Device Manager
- In the search box on the taskbar, type device manager, then select Device Manager from the results.
- Uninstall the Bluetooth adapter
- In Device Manager, expand Bluetooth.
- Right‑click the Bluetooth adapter (it may include the word "radio") and select Uninstall device.
- Confirm if prompted.
- Power off completely and restart
- Select Start > Power > Shut down.
- Wait a few seconds, then turn the PC back on.
- Windows will try to automatically reinstall the Bluetooth driver.
- If the driver does not reinstall automatically
- Open Device Manager again.
- Select Action > Scan for hardware changes to force detection and reinstall of the Bluetooth adapter.
- If Bluetooth still does not work
- In Device Manager, under Bluetooth, right‑click the adapter and select Update driver.
- If Bluetooth stopped working after a recent update, open the adapter Properties > Driver tab and select Roll Back Driver (if available).
- If issues continue, go to the PC manufacturer’s support site, download the latest Bluetooth driver for the exact model and Windows 10, install it, and restart the PC.
If the Bluetooth icon is still missing but the adapter appears in Device Manager after these steps, repeat the uninstall/restart sequence and ensure the latest OEM driver is installed.
