We are trying to deploy our service and use a public ip address.

However, when assigning a custom dns label it complains that that domain already exists. Doing a traceroute indicates there is no IP address behind that domain/custom dns label.

However, doing a traceroute indicates that label is actual unused. See traceroute log below for this DNS as well as a DNS we actually own for a different region.

    Hello @Ali Gilani,

Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A.

I understand that you are encountering an issue while creating the DNS label for the Public IP address, where it reports that the domain name already exists.

As discussed, we verified through the DIG web interface that the domain is not currently associated with any Public IP address.

The backend team has now released the lock on the custom domain name. Could you please try adding the DNS label again and let us know if the issue persists?
