French translation of the training site

The Microsoft Learn platform supports many locales, including French. When content is available in French, it is shown automatically if the site locale is set to French; if not yet localized, the UI chrome (header/footer) appears in French but the article body remains in English until localization is completed.

For the specific Purview audit activities pages referenced, availability in French depends on whether those particular sections have been localized. If a French version does not exist yet, the English content is displayed even when viewing Microsoft Learn in French.

To check and use French versions when available:

1. Open Microsoft Learn.
2. In the site footer, select the current language and change it to French.
3. Navigate again to the Purview audit activities documentation; if a French translation exists, the article content will appear in French. If not, the core content will still be in English.

Microsoft aims to localize content into the languages supported by the underlying products, but there can be a delay between English updates and localized versions.
