How to add Onenote Sticky Notes to android tablet o/s

One UI version 8.0
Android version: 16

OneNote for android is missing sticky notes.

To be specific the "Sticky Notes" applet seems to be missing from the Android version.

Windows o/s laptop, desktop and Android phone flawless.

ONLY TABLET VERSION IS MISSING STICKY NOTES.

Note: No browser band aid please.

Sticky note is missing on your Android tablet because on Android, OneNote uses two different UI layouts:

Android Phone layout > includes Sticky Notes / Feed
Android Tablet layout > Sticky Notes entry point is removed

The tablet-optimized layout doesn't display the Sticky Notes option even though both run the same app version

As a workaround, you can try using the Microsoft Sticky Notes app: Install the dedicated Microsoft Sticky Notes app from the Google Play Store, which gives direct access to your synced notes.

In conclusion, there is no problem with your OneNote, this only is a platform limitation.

I also suggest you send feedback within the app:

Tap the “Settings” (gear icon) in the OneNote app > tap “Help & Feedback” > “Send Feedback” to report this layout limitation directly to the product team.

There is no such thing as a "Microsoft Sticky Notes" app and is not a proper resolution or suggestion.

On Android, Sticky Notes are not a separate app; they are integrated into the OneNote mobile app and surface as part of the OneNote experience.

For Android phones, Sticky Notes appear in OneNote and are accessed from the bottom-right Sticky Notes entry point. The documentation and examples explicitly describe this behavior for “Android phone” and do not list a separate Sticky Notes app for Android tablets. The same guidance applies: Sticky Notes are available only where the OneNote mobile client exposes the Sticky Notes view.

If the OneNote build on a specific Android tablet (such as Galaxy Tab S10+) does not show the Sticky Notes icon or entry point, that tablet build does not currently expose the Sticky Notes feature. In that case:

Ensure the same Microsoft account is used that works on Windows and the Android phone, because Sticky Notes sync is account-based.
Confirm that the latest OneNote app from Google Play is installed.
If Sticky Notes still do not appear on the tablet while they do appear on the Android phone and Windows devices, this indicates a platform/build limitation rather than a configuration issue; there is no additional in-app switch to turn Sticky Notes on for that device.
To request Sticky Notes support on that tablet form factor, use the in-app feedback channel so the request goes directly to the product team.
