I am in a team meeting, and my mic is greyed out. How can I turn it back to be able to voice my contribution if need be?

    I recommend you address this issue as follows: 

    Step 1: Check if the Meeting Organizer has "Muted" the Audience 

    In many Teams Education meetings, the teacher or organizer may have disabled microphones for all attendees to prevent background noise. 

    •  Use the "Raise Hand" feature. Once the organizer sees your hand is raised, they can specifically "Allow Mic" for your account. You will then see the mic icon change from grey to active. 

    Step 2: Check Teams Device Settings 

    If other people can speak but your mic is still greyed out, Teams might not be recognizing your hardware: 

    • Click the More icon at the top of your meeting window. 
    • Select Settings > Device settings.
