How do I update my password through my authenticator app on my phone.

I keep getting a pop on my laptop that says my Microsoft password is going to expire. When I try to work through the process of updating my password, it sends me to my authenticator app on my iPhone and asks me to type in a two-digit number if asked and then authenticate through my app on my phone. Within my app on my phone there is nothing to authenticate.

    Hello,

Just make sure your Microsoft account is added in the Authenticator app and notifications are on. On your laptop, enter the two-digit number if asked, then approve the sign-in in the app. If no prompt appears, open the account in the app and look for a “Verify sign-in” or “Update password” option. Ensure your app is updated and your phone has internet. Microsoft will sync the new password across your apps once approved.
