Dear Microsoft Billing and Tax Support Team,

I am writing to request a Certification of Tax Residence for the Tax Year 2026 for the Microsoft entity that issues invoices for my account from Indonesia.

This document is required by my local tax authorities to apply the Double Taxation Avoidance Agreement and to justify the application of reduced withholding tax rates (or exemption) on payments made to Microsoft.

A digital PDF copy of the certificate would be highly appreciated.

Thank you for your cooperation and prompt response.

    Hello Nitasya,

Thank you for using our Microsoft Advertising Learn Q&A Platform!

I understand that you require a Tax Residency Certificate. I have provided the 2026 form by sending you a private message. You can check your private messages by clicking on "View messages" at the top of the page. User's image

Please note that tax or VAT requirements depend on your business location, which is the country/region where your business is legally registered. (If you are an agency, it is the country/region where your client's business is legally registered.) You can select your billing location from the list on the help pages below to find specific tax information.

    Tax or VAT information

Microsoft Advertising cannot provide guidance on tax or VAT. Please contact your tax advisor or local tax office if you have questions.

Microsoft Advertising is required to collect value-added tax (VAT) in certain countries/regions, and so all advertisers must provide the business location for each of their accounts. All Microsoft Advertising customers need to have a business location listed for each of their accounts. Business location is the country/region where the advertiser's business is legally registered. Whether you will be charged VAT on your advertising costs will depend on your business location and your tax registration status. For example, if you are in a business location that has VAT accounting obligations, you will need to enter your VAT registration number. If you do not provide your VAT registration number, Microsoft Advertising will charge VAT, in most cases. VAT will be charged based on your local rate. For more specific details and steps, kindly check the help page below:

Why we need your business location (and maybe VAT information)

Our support teams are happy to discuss your account in more detail via phone, chat or email to provide review assistance, please see our support page to reach out!

I hope the information provided here will at least partly answer your question.  If you have any additional questions please do not hesitate to reach out to our support. I have also sent you a private message asking for further details. You are more than welcome to respond to me if you have anything else to discuss.

    Kind regards,
