Add-ins on Excel for Mac show in drop down menu from 'Tools' but not in the ribbon

I have 3 add-ins to Excel for Mac installed - Analysis ToolPak, Solver Add-in and a downloaded Xrealstats-Mac. However they do not show on the ribbon so I can't use any of them. I have tried unticking them in the dropdown and the re ticking them, restarting Excel but no joy. Thanks for any advice

The right end of the Ribbon is cut off in the 3rd screenshot but the 2nd one does show the Analysis group which includes Analysis Tools, Data Analysis, & Solver.

I also see that a tab labeled Add-ins has been added to the Ribbon. That is not a standard tab in the Mac Excel UI. What is on that tab?

Is the Office software a personal subscription or is it provided by an employer or some other organization or institution?

Then I'm not clear on what the problem is...

Both Solver & Data Analysis appear on the Data tab which is where they should be located. They do not appear on a separate Add-ins tab or anywhere else on the Ribbon.

The Add-ins tab must have been created by the installation of the 3rd party add-in but the tool failed to be added to that tab. You can remove the real-stats add-in then reinstall it but if that doesn't work you need to contact the developer's support group.

[I'm assuming you did download the Mac version, right?]

Thanks - Yup I did install the Mac version. I will contact the developer. Once again thanks for the help

I don't use Xrealstats so I can speak to it — check the developer's support site.

Solver & Analysis ToolPak are Excel Add-ins provided with the program, so they do not appear in the 3rd party add-ins group on the Home tab. You'll find them in the Analysis group on the Data tab at the right end of the Ribbon. However, they should be usable from the Tools menu as well.

Have you tried restarting the Mac?

Do you not have the Excel Add-ins [Solver & Data Analysis] in the Tools menu or on the Data tab as shown here?:

If that's the case please go to Excel> About Microsoft Excel to determine;

Version Number

Type of License

Whether your info is shown as Belongs To
